We can see how the hotel could be lovely however the air conditioning broke throughout the hotel four days before we arrived. We were not told until we arrived giving us no option to change. Our first room, a suite, not inexpensive, a birthday treat, was like a sauna and had a view not of the tower as advertised but of the bins. We were moved and the second suite had an air conditioning unit in it which meant one of us had to climb over the other to get in and out of bed. The promised refund negotiated has never been made and the attitude of some of the staff regarding the situation was very nonchalant. When the air conditioning was repaired it didn’t go below 19 in a 30degree heatwave!
The breakfast service was slow and attention to detail for a specialist diet was very poor.
However the Concierge staff, one member of the reception team and the restaurant manager did try their best to make a disappointing stay better.
Overall, a disappointing experience for such an expensive experience.
