Dusty, found an ancient spice of pizza under the fridge, one of the electrical outlets didn't work, and smelled like an ashtray even though it's supposed to be non smoking room. Small tables in front of the room were frequented by randoms, whom I doubt were guests, that smoked cigarettes. AC did not work well, made the ashtray smell worse.

Decent place to stay

It was a decent place to stay. It was an older motel, and we had an exterior door that you just drove up to. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean for the most part. Our check-in was terrible and a very rude person. However, the manager did address the issue. Breakfast was ok, just wish they had healthier options. One day they had some fruit, and the yogurt machine was never working. One day on our stay, the kitchen person must’ve not came in and in the steamers the sausage was frozen along with the eggs and the biscuits. People were warming them up in the waffle irons and the person at the front desk doesn’t seem to care said he didn’t know what he was doing. This time of the year it was the cheapest motel in the Rapid City area. If you’re just staying for one night, it would be fine.

I booked this room 5 hrs before needing it. Hotels.com allowed me to book this room and took my money but I was not notified that the staff would not be there until 11pm. My flight got in at 10:30 PM Hotels.com would not refund my money for representing a hotel that cannot follow through with service. Absolutely unbelievable and I will never use Hotels.com again

Property has a lot of potential. A few repairs could be done. Ceiling tiles water stained. Easy to replace. Several residents keys stopped working during mid stay. Kind of got irritating after awhile. The biggest thing was the rudeness of the staff. Not just one or one instance, but several throughout our stay. This would be an excellent property if they just start over with new staff.

The comfortable beds were the best part of the stay. We all had a great night of sleep on the pillow top mattresses. The front desk staff were jelpful amd quick with check in and check out. The room had some small things that could have been cleaner. There were stains on some of the funiture and ceiling tiles. The dining room counters and tables were sticky in places. The breakfast was average. It was warm and had the basics of a continental breakfast.

Room was reasonably clean but no shampoo or soap in room. Had to ask twice to get some. Stayed 4 nights and got no room service for whole stay. No new towels, no garbage pickup, nothing. Ran out of breakfast one morning at 7am. A/C barely worked and was loud. Good for one night stay. Wouldn’t recommend for more than that.

Facility is HUGE & is the process of renovation. Reno parts are very nice. People need to know… NO ELEVATOR. We had trouble with the thermostat & after using the phone that was not connected to anything 🙄 went to desk & found out boiler trouble. Alternative room was colder so we stayed put. Took bedding off extra bed & slept very well. Breakfast was good but they were out of forks… how does that happen? Facility has great potential & staff were doing what they could do. Building has new fire suppression system but the fire extinguishers I saw were past their inspection date. Talked to employee & brought that to their attention. If you desire a place to sleep with nothing fancy, this checks the boxes.
