I am not sure how this hotel got all the high ratings when me and my wife both agreed that it was slightly BELOW average at its best. Cons: The location itself was very dated. The toilet in our room was very old and loose to the floor. It made so much noise when flushed that we decided to not flush it in the middle of the night as to not wake the other person. The in-room safe had no key so we couldn't use that even though I would have liked to. Seating are for breakfast is very limited so we got stuck taking food all the way back to our room. Pros: Very convenient to the expressway, gas, food and retail shopping if you need it. Plenty of parking including an overflow lot for larger vehicles. The food choices for breakfast were good with plenty of options. The staff is really friendly and the location was clean despite being dated. Would I stay here again should my travel plans take me through Corbin Kentucky? Probably not.

Breakfast is always good has a very good variety of foods and drinks. Parking lot is well lit and has security cameras on and monitored by staff and the pool has just been refurbished.

Smoke detectors are needed in stairways to help enforce no smoking. We had to use the stairs multiple times from the third floor during a power outage. (Outage was not related to the property, it was widespread due to a storm. The stench of cigarette smoke was too much in the first exit I tried and I didn’t use it. It was 100% dark anyhow. Of the three stairways I utilized while loading car from third floor there was only ONE light between the second and third floor. Totally black otherwise. Very unsafe. I believe lights are required in emergency exits to work even during a power outage. Only reason I didn’t give this stay a “5”. Staff very friendly. Rooms and property very clean. Felt very safe. Would stay again. With a flashlight. 😉

For the rate we paid, we were so impressed! Rooms were very clean, beds super comfortable and the free breakfast was an added bonus! I was able to check in online prior to arrival, and all documents and keys were ready for me upon arrival avoiding any further delays at the counter.

Room was super clean, with all the essentials. Pool closed.Breakfast would've been improved with fresh fruit.Lobby tiny and smelled of pinensol, but we did t hang out there, bc the room was so pleasant. Lotsa. staff on top of everything thing. :)
