During my stay, the room I was assigned had several serious issues:
The air conditioning unit was not functioning properly, leaving the room unsuitably hot. We did notify the front desk twice. We were not offered another room, but was offered 2 fans that were brought up to our room the second night. They were oscillating fans that were loud and just turned around the already hot air in the room.
The bed was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable.
Overall, the room felt significantly outdated, it smelled bad, and did not reflect the standard typically associated with a Hilton Curio collection property. I also would have expected better maintenance to address the a/c issues.
This hotel does not offer Digital key and the $25 amenity/credit option they offered just didn’t make sense to me. It does not seem like a “perk” to guests just another inflated charge.
I do want to take a moment to recognize Xiomara for her outstanding service during our stay. When we did mention to her on our second night that the a/c in our room was not working she was the one who immediately offered to have 2 fans bought up to our room. Her kind attitude and efforts to attempt to make things right truly stood out to us as she tried to make a difficult situation more bearable.
