Great Budget hotel

Was a good budget hotel. Nothing special, but it's great for getting an unber or cab as there is parking out the front. It's comfortable enough. Nothing to rave about. But it's a budget hotel. If you are looking for somewhere to sleep and be in a good spot in the city it's perfect.

Great location, especially for the theatres or the football. Apartments were ok, a bit dated and the carpet looked like it was falling apart. The shower didn't drain properly, so filled up and leaked onto the floor. Told management one morning, but nothing done.

Check in and out was fast and efficient, staff were polite and explained the parking and room information clearly. Walls were thin and noisy neighbours made for a very poor sleep, blind in bedroom broken so light in the face in the morning woke me earlier than I would have liked especially after poor sleep. Deposit hold can take 7-10 days to be released from your bank, that’s ridiculous in this day and is a big motivator in staying elsewhere for our very regular trips to the area.

Our room was just above reception, very noisy, no block out curtains, flashing street lights all night. Pieces of plastic rubbish was in the hallways from when we checked in to when we checked out. Bed has seen better days. Reslly needs replacing. Laundry facilities is very poor and outside the hotel.

Initially had an issue in the room we were allotted to, but after speaking wuth the helpful guy at the desk hevpromptly offered us another fully refurbished room without even asking for it. We would certainly recommend this place and stay there again.

Dislike the fact that the shower was at the end of a deep spa bath which made it impossible for my wife to climb in and have a shower. it would be of little use to pensioners as we found whilst I found I could climb in with difficulties my wife could not, the bathroom door was swollen and impossible to close completely and towel kept falling off. The fridge door when we got there did not close properly because a buildup of ice in freezer, it was remedied when a stall member came and adjusted the door shelves. The kettle had a very temperamental switch, so I am not sure how it would have passed a safety test, and the kitchenette lacked adequate cutlery and crockery. Also, the bed was old with bits of material hanging down under the base which made it look like something ready for the tip and creaked when getting in or moving. The adjoining door to the next unit was also annoying as neither we nor the other people knew what was behind it which made embarrassing situations with both sides opening the door to see what was behind it. A simple sigh explaining what it was placed on each door would have solved the problem.
