Great places to visit in close walking distance around this hotel (Sophia, Jolie, Willie Mae's, Junebug, True Food Kitchen, a sneaker boutique, art galleries, grocery store) as well as very close proximity to a mall (Riverwalk) and further down but close to a major casino. As far as the hotel itself...loved the color schemes and wall murals. Artsy! :-) The brick walls and high wood ceilings in the room was also nice change from normal hotel rooms. Comes with a fridge, no microwave BUT, there is one to use on the 2nd floor. Showers could be hotter :-( Hotel personnel was 50/50. The ones who were good were really good! Meaning professional, friendly, articulate, helpful. Valet and housekeeping were friendly. The staff who were not good, were not bad, but could use some work. Not so professional. Felt like I was bothering them or they were tired/bored of my mere presence. Was not articulate and mumbled or didn't smile. Overall...I would patronize Courtyard by Marriott New Orleands Warehouse Arts District again! Just work on that hot water and those warm receptions! :-)
