We chose to stay at La Quinta for three nights due to the low price, thinking we just needed a place to sleep instead of paying $400/night elsewhere. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.
Check-in staff were not friendly and gave no info about breakfast or amenities. We were surprised to learn about a $18/day parking fee only after arrival. The first room, next to the 24-hour fitness center, was very humid and had a flickering bathroom light, so we asked to change rooms.
The second room was on the 7th floor, but only one elevator worked, causing long waits. Both queen beds were sunken in the middle, making sleep uncomfortable. The room was outdated, lacked a fridge, microwave, and even a "Do Not Disturb" sign. The iron didn’t work.
Breakfast was minimal: cold boiled eggs, cereal, toast, waffles, bananas, and juice. Worst of all, we were woken up several times at night by loud, drunk guests yelling in the hallway. The A/C was so noisy we had to turn it off and sleep in the heat.
If we had known all this beforehand, we wouldn’t have stayed, even at a lower price. Be aware of these issues before booking.
