Dated hotel in a building with an impressive wooden staircase. Comfort of the bed depends on the room whilst the rug looks equally uninviting in all rooms. If you expect a good coffee with your breakfast have breakfast elsewhere.

Was quirky to say the least, felt a bit like it was trying to be themed and it wasn’t very clean, the shower had hair in and overall it felt a little sticky. Staff were lovely tho and the breakfast was decent

The picture of the hotel is misleading. The hotel is very, very basic at best 2 stars . My room cost £179 for a standard rated room which is grossly overpriced. All areas need a major overhaul and updating. It is all very shabby. The location is the only thing that is excellent.

We love this quirky hotel in Nottingham and its our go to place when visiting the Motorpoint Arena. Last night was disappoint because some moron was playing the same music, loudly, for quite a long time after lights out. So not a great night then to top it us this morning the hospitality tray had not been replenished and there was no milk for my wifes coffee and only one packet of biscuits! We will still look to stay there next time but we are now on the two strikes and out!

A slightly strange welcome as there was no one on reception and the name on the front of the hotel is still Mercure. I thought I might be at the wrong hotel. Room was spacious and surprisingly quiet for a first floor room in the city centre. Didn't have breakfast as there are some great and cheaper brunch places nearby.

This was the Mercure hotel and I nearly missed it when walking past. Staff on arrival and departure extremely helpful and welcoming. Everything is clean although it does look a little tired and probably needs updating. Having said that, my bed was extremely comfortable, sheets and bedding a delight, Shower and bathroom spotless and I also felt safe in this hotel. Location is right in the centre of the Lace district, lots going on but I was in the back of the hotel and slept like a baby! Would go again. Thanks.
