Wow - we stayed here with our two kids and loved it. We had one of the family rooms facing the park on the 5th floor and could see the bullet trains from our beautiful balcony. We loved sitting up there or on the roof deck to watch all the activities in the park. The delicious coffee and afternoon drinks/snacks were lovely. We didn't do breakfast at the hotel as we were usually up and going early, but it looked delicious. A wonderful place to stay!

This is definitely not a family friendly hotel. They are charging you for a baby crib but offering you free drinks! If you are a youngster who is looking for free beer and free hipster coffee, this could be a good option for you. Other than that, this should not even be considered as a hotel.

We had a fantastic 4-night stay at this hotel. We would highly recommend this location and will come back again if we travel to Kyoto in the future. The staff was very friendly and made the whole process seamless. The location of the hotel is great since it's in a quiet area but only one stop away from Kyoto station. Great hotel. No complains at all, wish I stayed longer. They had free wine, beer and snack. Rooms are big, very spacious (compared to others I stayed at in Japan) The breakfast buffet it was ok (not my preferred food for breakfast) but convenient. The little cafe in the lobby has great sandwiches. Everyone is so nice, but I found that everyone in Japan is. Beautiful country!

If you have young kids this is the best hotel in all of Kyoto. Right next to a giant park that has a creek to play in(allowed as an outdoor playground), Kyoto aquarium, Train museum, and jungle gym playgrounds.
