The rooms can be shared with strangers!!!
The worst experience via Hotels.com! The only positives: the helpful staff and that it is relatively cheap. First of all, the rooms are shared!!! Yes, they may give you a total stranger to your room. You are buying a doube or twin room with garden view, but it is just a bed in the room!!! There is only a simple note at the bottom of the website, that it is a "shared acoommodation". What? Shared bathroom, kjtchen and hallway in the flat (it is a flat with 4 rooms) - OK. But I never thought that they will try to send me another unknown person into "my" room. Yes and exactly that told me the owner when I contacted them via WhatsApp to arrange the check-in time. Luckily, I rejected it so loudly that they agreed to leave me alone in the room. Yes, it was cheap, I paid about 21 EUR/night, but with a stranger in my room it is not cheap anymore! There was no free wi-fi at all! There were no towels and when I asked for them, the employee said I should pay for them, luckily he said it is OK this time. Nothing on Hotels.com. Tiny portion of toilet paper only in my room. The bathroom was so outdated, toilet seat broken, only cold water in the wash-basin and kitchen. Steep staircase into the 4th floor. Both beds were so hard and one of them was creaking so loud... Just a tiny window with concrete barriers. Only 1 light on the wall, no chance to read... Hotels.com, you are completely misleading and only thanks to the generosity of the owner I could stay there, otherwise I would run away.
