整體還好，但只有又高又斜的樓梯，沒有升降機

環境，房間都是很好的。 包早餐 是 continental breakfast, 比較簡化，麵包，Cereal, Yogurt. Juice, Coffee 如果想吃hot dish. 便要在餐單上order.另再收費。 覺得最大問題的，是沒有lift, 樓梯又高又窄，我拿住又大又重行李，每次拿上房間和退房拿下來時都非常痛痛。非常大問題！ 除了這個，房間內也是可以的，但只有廁紙，沒有紙巾，沒有牙刷等等東西。

My partner and I had a brilliant 2-night stay at The George. Having just recovered from surgery on her wrist, I mentioned this, and a need for additionsl pillows, as a special request and everything from The George - from response time to accomodation - was five star. Breakfast (both continental and a la carte) was one of the best we've had and the bed was one of the comfiest. We were only here for two nights for a wedding but wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend ataying at The George! Also, use of the nearby CLC swimming pool was super easy and straightforward. Thanks to everyone at The George for a great stay.

Our stay at The George

I wanted to rate my stay as excellent, but there were a couple of bits that made The George fall short for us. We don’t think our supplies had been topped up. Only a singular bath towel was left for us, alongside no hand towels or a mat. We loved that we had a Nespresso but we’d only been left with one caffeinated pod. The air con unit didn’t work in our room (53) and so the first night was very hot and stuffy!! That said, it could be manually overridden by the front desk and so was resolved for the 2nd night. The bathroom was stunning but unfortunately the shower was luke warm unless you ran the cold tap on the sink at the same time. I cannot speak highly enough though of the staff. They resolved all the bits that were not meeting expectations quickly and with no fuss. Paying what we did each night, we honestly would have expected the room & contents to be just so is all. The bed and room itself was stunning, clean & comfortable. We loved the array of glasses left for our use and that even though there is no hotel bar now, you can get a cold drink or glass of wine from ‘the pantry’ which is where reception is. We didn’t eat, so cannot comment on the food. All in all, not a bad little stay and we’d visit again if we found ourselves in Cheltenham.

A nice stay in Cheltenham

The hotel was lovely and of a good standard for what we paid and situated in the perfect location. Staff were welcoming and helpful. We had a quiet rear room, which was quite small. However, it was sufficient for two nights stay. It offered some nice touches, such as cocktail glasses and a good selection of condements. There was no bar onsite however, they did have a 24 hour pantry which offered a small selection of snacks, drinks etc. The hotel is dog friendly, they do charge per night for your dog to stay which we did find a little steep. As part of this cost they provided a dog bed bowl and the one goodie box. Overall it was a lovely stay and we would return.

We had a short one night stay in Cheltenham, we were given a beautiful large room facing the road in front of the building. We could park our car streight in front of the building. Staff was very friendly. Town centre, shopping, bars and restaurants just 5 min away.

Wouldn't recommend

Really disappointed. Check in man was very rude. We had booked the same room and the same way as our friends checking in at the same time but the man on reception insisted we pay a security deposit and was very rude about it but didn't ask the same of our friends. No explanation why. Room was on the main stairwell so passing noise regular. Hoping for a nice lie in but we were woken at just before 8am by the fire alarm going off (we hadn't got in until 2am). Terrible stay and wouldn't recommend

This hotel is looking tired and needs some love; paint coming away, toilet seats that don’t fit and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly - someone’s comb had been left behind. It is quiet though at the back of the hotel although glad we stayed at a weekend as scaffolding platform was right outside our window so weekdays wonder what we’d wake up to. Central to town so convenient but not a patch on what the hotel was like years back
