Great stay, nice surprise, and we will be back!

Patio Azul was a nice surprise. During our last visit to Puerto Vallarta, we stayed at a hotel about a half-mile up the road, but this hotel was a much better choice for what we were seeking. It only has a handful of rooms so the experience is a bit more personal. The rooms were well appointed and all but one have excellent ocean views. Our room had a private patio and the hot tub was just a few feet from our door. The staff was extremely welcoming and engaging. The views are beautiful with a very personal bar and dining space within a few steps. We were also presently surprised by the dining experience. Both my wife and I are lactose intolerant, so it was exhilarating for her to know the French Toast was made with lactose free milk. It was so delicious she ordered the meal on back to back days. I enjoyed a vegetable filled omelet with chorizo on the side. Top the meal off with fresh squeezed OJ and a tasty margarita and we could not have asked for more. The outdoor cushions were a little worn and on our last night the guests above us made a lot of noise in the middle of the night. This was not the fault of the hotel staff and would have been addressed had I decided to go to the front desk to notify them. There are no phones in the rooms, so any requests must be made in person. There are quite a few steps and all rooms require using the steps for access, so if you have limited mobility this hotel would not be a good choice.

Beautiful view

The stay was great. Amazing view, peaceful surroundings, comfortable rooms. I recommend. The only disappointment is there seems to be non existant management. We asked to speak with them when we had issue with our airconditoner. It was fixed but it woke my sister up at 4am and people were in and out and then she could not get back to sleep. No apologies or acknowledgement. Leez at the desk is amazing. Very helpful.

The share accommodation areas really need to be updated. All the longe chairs are dirty and old. Unfortunately all staff could not speak basic english which made it difficult to ask questions even when I used my phone to translate it was very limited service help. Beach towels we very hard to come by as well...Overall the experience felt strained not fluid

There was good and bad about the property: PROS Amazing views of the bay Rooms are nicely decorated and themed Spacious bathroom Cleaning of room was very good CONS The hotel leaves all towels to dry on the railings from the terraces, they might want to outsource laundry service The jacuzzi isn’t hot, barely lukewarm Visible trash in lobby area Services standards were inconsistent All in all, I enjoyed my stay at the property and the views along with the relaxed ambiance compensate some of the negative aspects.

Es un lugar increíble!!! Vale la pena el lugar y la vista. Cuenta con muchas escaleras para gente grande no lo recomiendo. El taxi al malecón cuesta 80 pesos la calle es de subida tiene muchas piedras y es dif caminar con maletas y es una pequeña carretera. Nobtiene playa pero cerca de ahí hay playas públicas. Un lugar al que regresaría sin duda.
