Wonderful sleep

Based on other reviews, I took a chance. It turned out to be clean, comfy, safe, and I slept wonderfully. That's what mattered. It was not a high-end hotel, nor was I expecting one as I did not reserve one. The only trouble I had was trying to find it. It was in a separate wing of the Grand, which, based on reviews, I did not choose to stay at. All worked out just fine and, should I be in that area again, I would most likely stay there again.

This is actually two properties. For me it was very convenient. The room, while a bit out of date, was very clean with sufficient towels. I was there to sleep and for that it was great. I would recommend that the owners/managers update a few rooms and call them upgrades or what have you and thake any revenue from them to do a room at a time - paint and other updates.

The room was spacious, housekeeping was done everyday. It was quiet enough for a professional and getaway stay. The sink was clogged and before maintenance could address the issue, the front desk offered to relocate me into a more convenient room. Maintenance and management came to make sure that the issue was taken care of. Though the issue was more deeper, both management and the maintenance personnel demonstrated good customer service. I also liked that the wifi works very well. I will recommend this property to anyone looking for an affordable place for a stay.

The person who checked me in was very nice and accommodating, so that was good. Apparently, there are full fledged families living there as regular guests, because I saw no less than 6 unrelated kids playing and running around the halls on my way to my room. The room was decent for what I paid, just a few small things not really worth mentioning. But the big thing worth mentioning was my bathroom had mold on the ceiling. As I was leaving the next day, I saw a roach crawling down the hallway wall and got propositioned by a drug addict, all within 2 minutes of each other. If you just need a place to lay your head for a few hours without spending a lot of money, then this place might be okay for you.

1st room we were offered had a pair of jeans and a feminine douche under one of the beds also, there was something (not sure what it was) in the shower. It smelled dirty and musty. The 2nd room wasn’t much better but we had to stay somewhere and everything else was sold out. Still had a musty smell asked for new sheets the desk guy said housekeeping were already gone for the day. Called to the desk for new towels on Friday and didn’t get them until Sunday afternoon. There are a lot of shady people hanging around there. This place either needs to be renovated or torn down. A call to the health department would be a good idea as well.
