Overall our stay was alright. The breakfast is well done! The week day woman preparing breakfast is amazing. Delicious food and she is so welcoming. The grounds are lovely and plenty of parking. They definitely have to improve their room cleanliness and room maintenance.

Not my favorite stay.

The kitchen aera floor had something sticky on it. Your feet/ shoes stuck as you stepped. The sofa arm rests were shredded as if a cat clawed it. The noise of the expressway was loud. (may not have been on another side of the building.) The air conditioners were loud. You could hear ours and other air conditioners running. When we arrived someone had cooked fish and the entire 2nd floor smelled like cooked fish. The door closest to our room was broken. We had to go to the main entrance and walk to the other end of the building. People walked their dogs and spoke on their phones so they were loud as well. (maybe they should have a dog walk aera away from the other guests) We do not have pets and we were charged a 100 deposit in spite of that fact. Non pleated toilet paper is never a good thing. The cheap coffee maker was difficult to use and only made a cup at a time. (need Kuerig). There were crumbs on the carpet and in the desk chair. The desk chair has a stain in the seat of it. The bed in the bedroom took most of the room. There was a narrow space in front of the bed to gat to the other side. The name of the Hotel is the same as two others in the area. Went to the wrong location first. Never again.

Overall it was a good stay. The staff was really nice and informative. We planned to stay more than one night but decided to leave early due to an emergency. The room was nice, very clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the toilet would make noise like it’s filling up every 5 minutes or so through the whole night. I was able to dampen it a little by closing the door and turning the tv volume up. But overnight it did wake me up for a few. Additionally the refrigerator made a loud humming periodically through the night. Aside from those noise complaints the stay was pleasant.

The best time!!

We came as a large group for our kids travel volleyball tournament. This hotel was awesome. We rented the rooms that have a full kitchen and a living room two separate bedrooms, both with king-size beds and both rooms have its own private bathroom. Literally such a perfect set up for as many families as we had. After our volleyball tournament, we brought our chairs outside to the little courtyard near the pool where they had a basketball court set up with nets around it that our girls were able to play volleyball on. As parents got to sit around and chat and hang out it was the perfect set up. The nice man working the reception desk. Also let us use the lobby one night to order pizza and let the girls hang out and make Volleyball clips. Perfect hotel for a group to come.

Great hotel unfortunately our room smelt like a wet dog. If you are going to allow pets they should be restricted to certain rooms and guests should be told if the room had had a dog in it recently.

Sonesta North Point Mall is a smoking hotel

Sonesta saying it's a "non-smoking" hotel is a joke. I had issues with marajuana smoke coming into my bathroom, bedroom and into the living area for 5 days in a row. I immediately called the front desk the fist day (March 1st around 12:30-1 ish but no one answered my several calls}. The next day the nightmare continued. Whoever was smoking smoked in the morning and again in the evening. My concerns were treated as though I did something wrong. I am allergic to smoke (any kind) and it makes me feel sick. Gen. Mgr. gave a directive that I could move to another room on the 4th day but was told by front dest (Julius) I could not move until the 5th day. Last night here elevator isn't working and had to delay taking belongings out of the room because we could not walk down three flights of stairs. I cannot recommend Sonesta to anyone. No courtesy was given for my terrible experience. I was actually told "we can't do anything about someone who smokes in our hotel and the interaction with some staff was very unprofessional. One staff member that was amazing was Jeremy. Could not get return calls and some staff actually said they returned calls when they in fact did not. I spent good money at Sonesta and received very poor service. Don't be fooled.
