Lovely place to stay in San Francisco if you want to meet new people while having a more realistic feel for living in the city (vs. hotel living). Space is quiet and roomy with a lot of different people coming into the hostel. Plus there's activities to do daily and great recommendations of things to try hung up on the walls in the common room.

Great place to sleep and shower!

Quiet and cozy. I found the bed super comfy and they provided two (!!) pillows. I never had to wait to use the restroom and there was room in the fridge for what I needed. They had some space to allow me to store my luggage between checking out and when it was time to go to the airport. Look forward to staying here again.

Has just what you need, with a lobby where you'll meet up and hang out with people. It's in Chinatown, so there's a variety of eateries to choose from within just a few minutes walking distance. It's a group hostel but you can feel pretty safe keeping your belongings here.
