Family room size is OK but bathroom is very small, weak shower and quite confined.

This traditional hotel has seen better days. Rooms are worn and not modernized for a while. Ground floor room were humid and had no A/C. The toilet niche extremely narrow and difficult to use. Good breakfast, but crowded during breakfast time.

Hotellet var rent og personalet var hyggelige og hjelpsom. Standarden er av eldre stand, med svært knirkende gulv, kunne blant annet høre de som gikk i etasjen over pga knirkende lyder. Hotellet kunne gjerne vært pusset litt opp. Sengen var liten for å være dobbelseng og veldig hard. Ingen minibar/mini kjøleskap på rommet som hadde vært kjekt å hatt. Skulle ønske frokost var inkludert i prisen. Veldig glad for å ha så kort vei til undergrunnen (rundt 3 min å gå) og matbutikker.

The location was one block from a metro stop. The neighborhood was quaint and safe. The hotel was an old residence or brownstone like apartment building. The stairs were narrow and the doors to the room was wooden and not sturdy. I had to place a chair under the door knob for extra protection. The fact it was a former apartment building made the facility feel more like a bed and breakfast and not a hotel

Lovely stay at Swiss Cottage. Here’s the pros and cons: Pros: - Location to Swiss Cottage Underground Station, Jubilee Line. Literally a few minutes walk. - Area: Within a lovely residential area. Feels safe. Bike rental station just across the street too. - Hotel style: Classical, beautiful lounge and lobby. - Staff: Superb experience with the staff, all were friendly and welcoming. Made our stay feel more special. - Breakfast: English Breakfast cooked to order. Continental available too. - Room: Sash windows, large bed, spacious bathroom. Cons: - It’s old: don’t expect crisp and clinical. Expect creaky floorboards, narrow corridors upstairs and plenty of ‘character’. - Basic Bedroom: Your room will be basic. It’ll have everything you expect from a hotel but it won’t be flashy. - Breakfast: Again, it’s your basic English Breakfast and cold selection. Don’t expect Michelin stars. - Parking: There’s no parking connected with the hotel, so you’ll have to find your own solutions.

Staff were excellent and accommodating of our needs as we were staying with a toddler. The hotel is 2 mins walk from Swiss Cottage station so very convenient for travel into Central.

Floor creaked everytime you stepped on it. Wallpaper pealing off wall. Hole in wall by bed. Smoke detectors were covered over. No fan in bathroom & smelt musty. Windows open when arrived extremely stiff to try & shut especially as windows are so high up.
