This was our second stop in Costa Rica. The resort is very comfortable and clearly tailored for American visitors. While you don’t quite get the authentic Costa Rican vibe, everything is well-organised and convenient. We’re from Europe, so the atmosphere felt a bit different to us.
The staff were all very kind and welcoming. Our biggest issue was with the kids’ club. It’s not really a traditional kids’ club – they offer kids’ activities three or four times a day, each lasting around 30 minutes.
To be clear, I wasn’t looking to leave my daughter there all day, but it was a bit frustrating that we constantly had to check when the activity ended. Once, the staff member even walked her back to us by hand after the session went a bit over time – my husband had stepped away to take a quick call as the 30 minutes had already passed. It felt a bit awkward.
That said, the kids’ club staff were lovely. I believe they were simply following the guidelines set by management.
