I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott at 1201 W Main St, Charlottesville, Virginia, on March 3, 2025, the night before my breast cancer surgery at UVA Hospital, located just down the road. I checked out at 4:30 a.m. to undergo a procedure to remove the cancer and parts of both breasts. Now, three weeks into my recovery and still homebound, I reviewed the receipt from check-out and was shocked by the charges. I was billed for a 'general tip' despite not leaving one, a full day of daycare when I have no children and brought no guests, and a spa bath I didn’t use due to strict pre-surgery restrictions. This reservation was made through Hotels.com, an Expedia Group company, and I was charged $198.00 for a 13-hour pre-surgery stay. I’m requesting a full refund for this stay, as these charges are unjustified. This review will remain posted until I feel Courtyard by Marriott has adequately addressed my complaint to my satisfaction
