It's a lovely resort, with beautiful pool, gardens, hot water spa, and huge, well-appointed rooms. The place is VERY hard to find: they could use a sign that you can see from the street. The staffer was nice enough but I should say, when an older lady arrives with several pieces of luggage, it would be nice to offer some help.

The Bahia Bay Resort is a hidden gem. And I do mean hidden - it's right off South-bound Overseas Highway, but if you didn't have the address, you'd never know it was there. Checking was easy, and Micheal is friendly and responsive, and had some tips for dining, etc. Once you are on the property, it is a delight. The rooms are spacious and airy, recently updated. The bed is comfy, each unit has full control of AC without using a window unit, etc. Rooms are equipped with a mini-fridge, and there is a small icemaker for the building. However, where the property really shines is outdoors. There is a full-size adult pool (quite deep at the deep end), a kiddie pool, and a heated spa. It appears to be a salt-water system, so no strong chlorine smell when you're done. Steps from the pool is the Florida Bay. You can wade out from a coral rock path onto a sandy bottom that is between two small piers, each with chairs and lights, and one with a gas-powered fire-pit. These are amazing spots for viewing the sunset! Highly recommend!
