I really enjoyed visiting Jakarta Kota Tua (old Batavia). Some great museums where you learn the history. The old buildings are well maintained.

Indonesians are all friendly and willing to help. Customer service is first-rate all over the city. It is a big city with traffic jams, so we change hotel every 2-3 days to go around Jakarta. Be aware of the humidity and heat!

For foreigners not used to the tropical heat, it's better to stay inside rather than venturing out after 11 am. My elderly mom fainted during a morning walk of less than 1km to a nearby local market from the hotel. Area is also not walk-friendly.

Too crowded! Bad traffic and takes hours to reach most destinations even though they've modern Intrafracture. Narrow roads and traffic make it not walkable. Not enjoyable city.

If Jakarta didn't close off its beaches and had parks it would be an attractive city to visit.
"I was initially assigned Room 700, but after settling in, I noticed that the central air conditioning was unusually loud. I reported this to Ms. Dwinda Ayu, who responded promptly and arranged for me to be moved to another room without any hassle — her attentiveness was greatly appreciated.
On the final evening of my stay, I visited the Executive Lounge, where Ms. Annissa kindly checked in with me and asked for feedback. I shared a few minor comments regarding wear and tear, and she took immediate steps to follow up on them.
Great food options too. The hospitality and responsiveness of the team truly stood out. Kempinski offered a warm, comfortable experience — a genuine home away from home. I look forward to returning. "
"Lovely rooms I had , upgraded, my room key packed in after one day annoying but got sorted quickly, breakfast was okay but I travelled alone , so every time I went from my table they kept taking my coffee away, had to keep ordering a new one 😬 but generally it was a nice place "
