The bed had a huge dent , they acknowledge the problem but didn't try to fix it or give any type of solution. A hotel that asks for deposit should be able to give you a comfortable stay . This wasn't our first visit but will definitely be our last .

Dont Stay Here!

This hotel is so janky; OYO corporate better step up. First of all, they demanded a 60 cash-only deposit very inconvenient. Second, the lobby was dank and old, and they did not vacuum the room. Third, the front desk clerk looked like they had been up for 24hrs without sleep.

Need to change a management and rules. $50 cash deposit and checking out your room after you came for deposit. No breakfast, only recommendation from a management, about near by restaurants. No refrigerator!? In Texas No laundry

The property was underwhelming and the room itself was very dirty....There were stains all over the walls, chipped counters everywhere, slime-looking stains in the bathroom, and had a smell of mildew that wouldn't go away for anything....The property also required a CASH ONLY deposit, which was not informed prior to arrival, so inconveniently, we had to drive to the other side of the highway to find an ATM in the Walmart and withdraw cash just to check in...The gentlemen at the counter was also walking around the lobby and in the hallways with no shoes on.

They don’t care.

Place was dirty. The a/c unit there wasn’t even working properly. The buttons came off. There was a $50 cash deposit you have to put down or they won’t give you the room. And when you try to check out you have to wait for them to check your room and then they will give you your deposit. Took the guy 20min to tell me my room was good. The volume is fixed to hotel settings on the hotel tv . So good luck trying to hear what’s happening on the tv. The wifi password you have to write it down yourself…like really? The front desk guy repeatedly told me not to smoke in the rooms. I don’t even smoke. Rooms are tiny and disgusting. There was a burnt cigarette hole in the bed covers. Like really guys? It really didn’t seem like they care

Nothing about my stay was good what you book online is totally different when arrive it's not hotel it's a motel where any and everything goes down the family that runs the motel is very unprofessional i complained about my room upon arrival i was told i would be switched that never happened you only get a roll of tissue a day keep in mind i booked for 5days because i waiting for my apartment to get ready that explains why looked at me the way he did which i said why i there for 5days yes!! That's some money they got from me you have to request for cleaning which not a problem but does not happen until next business day it has a odor in the room thr microwave is outdated the lighting is horrible its a mess! Never AGAIN!! RUN REALLY FAST FROM OYO HOTEL/MOTEL in Mesquite texas the one time i didn't read the reviews thats on me....the ratings for this hot mess is zero stars....!!!!!

Reservation not honored.

Made reservation 2 years ago, only to arrive at hotel to find that OYO Hotel in Mesquite, TX had been sold during the intervening time and my reservation had been discarded. It was the day before the total solar eclipse and I had been abandoned by OYO.

Hotel no longer exists, no reservations transfer

I arrived for my reservation to find it’s now an EconoLodge, sold some months back, and no reservations transferred from Oyo. My reservation no longer existed, despite hotels.com still showing my Oyo check-in scheduled for that day. I’m deeply disappointed in hotels.com, who has lost my trust.

Terrible

I was trying to find a place in East Texas in the wake of a massive power outage and most hotels did not have vacancy. I found this one online and it was supposedly the last room available but, when I got to the hotel, a guy was in front of me already and he said that he just got the last room. Anyway, my complaint is not this but, the way i was treated by the front desk clerk. He demanded I give him 50 dollars cash for a deposit but, on hotels.com, there is no mention of this and I paid what the total came up to prior to arrival. Also, as witnessed with the man in front of me, the clerk refused to provide a receipt. The guy went ahead and decided to stay because he was tired and had been through the same problems as other travelers that night. When he left and I got up to the desk, the guy treated me the same was telling me I could not stay without the deposit (in cash) and he refused to provide a receipt. I told him this sounds like a scam and I walked out. I will be complaining to hotels.com and demanding a refund since I did not stay. I hope that this is not the normal way of treating customers by OYO.
