Booked in at 10.30pm on the Wednesday night, very helpful staff , the room is in need of some new paint, I was surprised to find the WC. in a separate room, it was all clean and tidy. I just found the bed hard. breakfast was good. and checked out on Friday Morning. I have used the Novotel in Southampton before and was impressed , not the same level of comfort, the location was great.

Decent hotel, central location, average price. The carpets in the rooms need replacing badly but everything else is fine.

Hotel is great, staff friendly and its clean. Couple of occasions I have stayed, service can sometimes be slow. This time it was down to a card machine being shared between the Bar and the Reception... Wouldn't stop me from coming back as the staff, condition, location make it worth to overlook some things!

Check in wasn't very caring - they were too interested in the footballers in the lobby. Had to move rooms as the corridor was flooded with the smell of cannabis. Reception moved our floor and said they'd get security to look at it. Made me feel really queasy for the rest of the evening. Told the receptionist as we checked out and yet again, no care!

My partner and I spent New Year here and overall it was a great location with clean modern rooms and easy access to the town centre. It's a bit disappointing that you have to pay for parking on top of your stay and the facilities could have been better. We wanted to purchase some snacks from the hotel bar when we returned from our night out however it was very poorly stocked. There is also no option for a bath which is a shame as that's something I look for in a hotel.

Nice room, nice service, nice breakfast

When my sister and myself checked in we were greeted by arrogant staff members who couldn’t be bothered on entering our room we found it to be freezing cold so we turned up the thermostat and went out for the night on going downstairs to get some food before going out when my sister went to the bar to order food there reply was I suppose you want food now so very rude we decided to go out on our return around midnight on venturing into our room we found it had not been cleaned and smelt awful we got into bed around a hour later we were woken by a couple next door to our room screaming throwing things banging doors this continued for 2 hours in which my sister went down to reception saying if this wasn’t sorted out we would be leaving straight away we only got2 hours sleep when on checking out we made our feelings know to reception staff to which were different staff from check in we also complained to management I can honestly say we won’t be staying in a Novotel hotel ever again also the drainage of the bathroom from the shower needs fixing due to flooding from when you shower spilling out onto the floor considering this was a disabled room I find this to be extremely dangerous if you were in a wheelchair this needs sorting and fast plus you need to sack the reception staff.
