After reading some negative reviews of this place, I was a bit hesitant to book a stay here, BUT let me assure you, we truly enjoyed our stay and wished we had more nights here!
The whole place reminded me of a stately grand dame who has seen better days, is aging, could use some tender loving care to smooth out the wrinkles, but the good bones are there, the history is palpable, etc...
The room was welcoming and had everything in it, kitchen and more, to support a longer stay if needed. The bed was comfy, the bathroom clean. Yes, the door and keypad were finicky, but once we learned the trick (push in before putting the code in) we were fine.
We did not have time to try out the pool, but it looked beautiful! A woman there said she and her husband had been coming here for years.
We also did not have time to breakfast here, so cannot comment on the quality. It is a bit pricey from the looks of it.
Anyway, I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for old Florida flavor, and not perfection. Thumbs up from us!
