Clean, quiet, and comfortable - Rough neighborhood

Place was very clean and quiet and comfortable. Spacious and modern. The neighborhood was very rough however, which made checking in and out a bit weird and uncomfortable, especially at night. Homeless folks all around, broken glass on the ground while trying to get luggage out of the car, drug use, etc. Proximity to Universal and other places we were visiting was great.

Got bitten during the night – hotel refused to ref

I stayed one night at The Haas Hotel and woke up with multiple bites on my body. I informed the hotel right away and sent them photos of the swollen bite marks. However, they refused to refund me, claiming it was not from bed bugs. Instead, they said it could be from something else or even an allergic reaction. They also insisted I provide a photo of bed bugs on the mattress, which is unreasonable – most guests aren’t going to dig through the bedding in the middle of the night while in pain. I provided clear evidence of the bites, but they still denied any responsibility. I felt very uncomfortable, unsafe, and disappointed with how the hotel handled the situation. I will not stay here again and would not recommend this place to others.

Terrible experience

Easily my worst hotel stay in many years. The suggested parking garage across the street was dangerous and not well secured. I fell in the garage while having to walk up the car ramp to my car. Instead of taking the stairs or elevator, which were not accessible. There is no area to unload bags in front of the hotel. Each night I was greeted by panhandling homeless people as I tried to enter the property. The hallway to my room had a terrible odor. The windows in the room must be paper thin because I could hear every car, siren, and person's conversation outside. My light sleeper son did not sleep one bit during our stay. Don't stay here if you are looking for restful sleep.

BEAUTIFUL room!

Such an amazing experience! The hotel staff was knowledgeable, helped with food and activity recommendations. The room was phenomenal, most comfortable beds ever! Spacious. The views in the penthouse were incredible. It was a great location, too! I would stay here again.

The hotel is in a rough area (though close to a lot of great stuff). The parking situation is atrocious and expensive - expect to pay at least $30/day for a garage that looks like the scene of a crime. The actual room was nice and the bed was comfortable, though fixtures were quite old and dated.

A nice hotel in a sketchy area.

The hotel itself is great, it is very spacious and perfect for a larger group. The biggest issue for us is the area surrounding the hotel and the parking situation. If you are not used to a real downtown feel then it would be possible for you to feel uncomfortable. The staff was great and the room was great and overall it was worth it.

Our 3 day family stay

Room was nice. TV didnt work the 3 days we were there, and yes they knew about it. Our replacement toweles looks like they were used for cleaning. Its not easy loading and unloading your car there is no parking in front. You have to park arcross the street and haul all your luggage. Parking is 20-25 at Burlington parking garage over night (not bad). And No food service

The parking situation is horrible. The first night, I parked in the St. Vincent parking garage. I felt safe in the parking garage, but was scared as soon as I walked out on the street and had to find the hotel. The second night, I was later and the St. Vincent lot was closed. Used the parking garage across the street from the hotel. That parking garage felt very scary and was filthy. So many homeless and sketchy people around the hotel. Area outside hotel was disgusting. Gross messes and garbage on the sidewalk. Open drug use. The room set up was very cool, but there was a stong scented air freshener plugged into the wall. I unplugged the air freshener and discovered that it was covering a urine smell. There was no housekeeping service. No fresh towels. It took about 10 minutes to get warm water to come out of the shower. The shower pipes let out horrible screeches and moans during my entire shower.
