Let us begin with the “pros”: The hotel has a great location; and 24-hour front desk service
Here are the “cons” - bear with me, they are a lot:
- Very dirty. A historic hotel with a vintage vibe does not have to be dingy to highlight its charm.
- No hot water. There is a sign to “let the water run for 1-2 minutes”. Yeah… more like 15 minutes to get relatively warm water.
- No daily housekeeping (as advertised), even with door handle sign request. When asked, they said it was done after check out, which would be ok, if originally stated. They offered to come and make the room, but they never did.
- Broken and dingy furniture. NOTHING in the room was as pictured in the website. See MY pictures to compare.
- Entrance is extremely slippery when wet. No entrance carpet.
- No parking, or valet
- Front desk incompetence. People were nice, but completely ignorant of basic hospitality principles. Questions were answered vaguely, if at all. When we complained about the issues they said “management would get in touch with us”. I am still waiting for that call.
- Read the descriptions carefully: Fees are for two guests. Additional guests pay extra. Not recommended for families, AT ALL. No amenities for children (no pool), and we had to put up with MJ smell in the hall all weekend.
- Fun fact: Toiletries were from another hotel. What’s up with that?!
