Excellent location, right at Yamashita park and Chinatown, and within walking distance to the Red Brick Warehouse. Room is comfortable and spacious, and amenities were great. Staff were warm and courteous.

Best hotel in Yokohama

Hotel New Grand is old school hospitality, where a guests is treated like a celebrity. They are all amazing at their job, with their kindness, attention to detail, and the pleasant atmosphere they help create. Of all the hotels I've stayed at, there are only 2 other hotels that come close. Easy 5/5 stars, and definitely a hotel I'd recommend.

One. Might stay pre. Cruise. Location fabulous. Staff absolutely excellent, polite, friendly and courteous. Arranged taxis for us and money exchange. The staff is what overwhelmed me about this hotel. Facilities in bathroom and toiletries were amazing Thought of everything

Great Classical Hotel

Cyashitsu ryokan offers a very different experience than staying at a hotel. During the check in process, the employees gave me a welcome tea and snack while explaining the property. The room was immaculate with a view of the street. You get a 45 minute use of the private spa.

This was our third visit to the New Grand Hotel prior to a cruise. We love the history and ambience of the old part and the great harbour views from the tower part. The staff are very attentive and professional and the gardens out front are delight to stroll in. China town close by is a great contrast to visit especially all lit up at night.

Our Tower room had a great view of the park and the bay. Service was outstanding. It would have been helpful to have an additional luggage space or rack (I didnt ask). The Japanese set dinner was very interesting and tasty - Kyoto style cuisine.
