Nice vibe

Nice hotel a 15 minute walk to downtown. There is a bus though which we used a couple of times. Decor was lovely both in our room and throughout the hotel. We had a coffee maker and a jug which was great. The bathroom was nice and there was plenty of hot water. The toiletries were also very nice. We weren’t being picked up until the afternoon so we were given a late check out which was very considerate. Breakfast was plentiful and good though it was the same for all three mornings of our stay.

Molto consigliato!!! Esperienza molto positiva. Ottima posizione, molti ristoranti raggiungibili a piedi. Carina l'area SPA esterna, carina la palestra abbastanza fornita. Durante la permanenza la mia compagnia ha dovuto connettersi per un meeting di lavoro molto importante e dato che la struttura non ha un area adibita per business meetings, il personale le ha fornito una camera vuota per 3 ore senza chiedere un alcun supplemento, sono stati davvero gentili e disponibili.

Good place with hot tub

Pro: Good place to stay for skiing; the ski shuttles stop here first before making rounds to other stops, so always plenty of seats to choose from. We loved visiting the outdoor hot tub and sauna after skiing, as well as enjoying the s'mores by the fire pit in the afternoon. Hotel is ~15 min walk from town; not the worst when weather is nice, but a bit brutal when it's snowing heavily. No roam pass offered either. Since we have a car, this isn't a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind of. Free breakfast fuels the skiing well. Cons: Hot tubs jets are weak. Continental breakfast is the same everyday: sausage, scrambled egg, potatoes, pancakes, and could use some variation.

Nice stay

Nice hotel, walkable distance from the downtown, around 15 minutes. Rooms are very nice, cozy and well decorated. Breakfast is good but you have to pay extra for some items, a latte or cappuccino for example. Breakfast and hot tub areas are constantly crowded.

Ski trip

Place is clean, easy to get to, and they do have a garage (can not fit a car larger than 7’- call to double check, but most garages are around that height cap or lower) Complimentary s’mores in the late afternoon was a nice surprise! The hot tub and cold plunge was really great. There’s also a sauna too. Staff is extremely helpful, and very kind. The breakfast wasn’t that great but it’s included and it’s super convenient that you can go in your PJ’s for breakfast. I would stay again It is an about 15-25 minute walk into town (depending how fast you walk) but there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The shuttle for the slopes, we are the first to be picked up and first to be dropped off. THAT was amazing

Great

Canalta lodge was a great place to stay for our ski trip to Sunshine. The front desk staff were all very helpful with my questions. The buffet breakfast was pretty good, and they kept everything replenished and clean. The room was clean and comfortable. Our room was right next to the ice machine, so we did have some annoying outside noise occasionally. We really enjoyed the s'mores and hot tubs the first couple nights. But the hot tubs were too crowded the last two nights. I think Canalta is the first stop for the shuttle to Sunshine, so we had our pick of seats. Overall a wonderful stay!

7 night trip was wonderful

Stayed here for 7 nights while in Banff for Spring Break ski trip. The indoor parking garage assured we had a warm car every morning. The hot tub and happy hour smore's were something the kiddos (and us) looked forward to every late afternoon after a long day of skiing. Would definitely recommend. The breakfast has a variety of options, but it is the same breakfast buffet every day. Overall, it did the job. Very friendly staff as well.

Great Spot

Front desk staff very freindly helpfuland helped me look up a resturant that I forgot the name to. Great location to walk to many resturants and is on Banff Ave, Also had great underground parking ! Good AM breakfast to everything you need.
