Nice small hotel with excellent location

Small and a bit old hotel but have good location by the side of river Arno. Just few minutes walk to Ufizzi museum. We stayed there 6 nights and got upgraded to Suite apartment. Nice breakfast. Everything is so far so good but housekeeping is a bit undersatisfaction. Room is not cleaned well and things are not put tidy.

Reception staff efficient and polite. Booked standard room but stayed in larger room /suite which would be ok for family. Bed a little hard would be only criticism. Ideal location. Rooftop bar a sun trap.

Luxurious and great location with minor gripes

Loved all of it, location is beautiful, and the view from my window was awe-inspiring. Very kind service, nice rooms and amazing hall where the breakfast is served My only complaints: The rooftop bar was nice but you don't see a lot of the river and it is very small. You see the duomo though. The breakfast isn't anything amazing (which some reviews made it seem like). It's nice, and good perhaps for being Italian. But I had expected a lot more. There is wine as well as a hotel t-shirt put out in the room, like as if it was free. As far as I understood, it certainly wasn't and that feels a bit weird to try and trick people into buying something...

Lovely hotel close to all the sights in Florence

Excellent location for sightseeing in Florence. Hardly a stones throw from the end of the Ponte Vecchio. Very clean and comfortable with helpful and friendly staff. Nice rooftop bar with views of the duomo and bell tower. They also gave us some free gifts as it was our 30th wedding anniversary.

Empfehlenswertes Hotel im Zentrum

Mit dem Auto ist der Anmarsch sehr aufregend! Der Chrck-in war rasch und wir wurden in eine Junior Suite upgraded. Sehr komfortabel mit Wohnraum und Badezimmer unten und die Betten auf der Empore. Das Frühstück war auch hübsch angerichtet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

A wonderful hotel in Florence.

We had an excellent stay: we will certainly return, and would recommend the hotel to anyone. It has a wonderful location, with beautiful views of the Arno and the Duomo. The breakfast was very good indeed, with lovely cereals, scrambled eggs, fruit and so on. The staff were charming and helpful. My one criticism would be that the shower was very tricky - the water was either icy or scaldingly hot. All in all, a special and delightful hotel!

Excellente!!!

The staff and accomodations were so fantastic! They addressed me by name during my stay and were so helpful when asked any questions, whether about the hotel, or ideas about Florence. The location could not have been more convenient !!!! Right on the river and steps from both the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi, and Galileo museums.

Truely lovely place to stay in Florence.

The hotel is an old monastery. There is a grace in staying here. The staff are wonderful. The breakfast room is a delight, frescoed ceilings and chandeliers. Good variety for breakfast. Tables overlook the Arno. The library on the second floor is beautiful, with portions of old frescos on the walls and it is full of leave-one take-one books. The rooms are spotlessly cleaned, beds comfortable, bathrooms updated. The fifth floor bar is a great spot to unwind after a day of walking and museums. It is an old building with a perfect location; it charmed us. It isn’t a modern hard lines and vacant spaces hotel. The rooms are comfortable, windows open to the alley. We just loved it and would stay here again and again.

The included breakfast was amazing. Was expecting a continental breakfast of coffee and rolls. They offered a full buffet of cereal, yougurt, a variety of fresh fruit, pastries, charcuterie, smoked salmon, choice of bread, eggs, bacon, sausages. Too many things to list down here. You are at risk of total loss of dietary discipline.
