We usually stay at Sea Haven for Thunder beach bike week. Love their staff usually clean and helpful. The reef was extremely disappointing due to lack of care from staff. Parking was a joke. Couldn’t get pillows so didn’t have for pull out sofa bed. The person stationed outside to help direct traffic should be fired. Just stood there letting cars go whatever way they wanted to to the point the traffic jam was ludicrous. Ha someone park a motorcycle behind ours in a space that didn’t have a parking pass for your hotel and was told by a employee that it did t really matter because we could get our bikes out if we know how to move our bikes. At one point our keys didn’t work so the ga e new keys and sent us back up to the room three times before an actual employee went up to fix the issue. If you’re going to be involved with the festivities that bring a lot of people and money to your hotel you should be more concerned with your guests. Having to share parking with a restaurant and their not be designated parking for your hotel guests is also ludicrous. Our room was not clean and towels we did get had public hair on them. Never again! Extremely disappointed

The staff, especially Shanice, were wonderful. They deserve a lot of credit for providing a pleasant experience, despite how rundown the hotel is. Unfortunately, the hotel is old and it shows. In our room, we couldn't find hot water, in the shower, as the handle spun a full 360...lukewarm was the best we could get. There were a number of outlets that did not work and some would push into the wall as you were trying to plug items in. The floors look, and feel, like they only get swept, by house cleaning...not mopped, which they desperately need. The bedframe was broken, but we didn't notice until my wife sat on the end of the bed and fell through! I know this looks bad, and I guess it is. I will say the stay was enjoyable but there is only so much the staff can do to prop up an aging hotel. I think the location should account for something, but this hotel is probably worth about $100-$120/night max, during peak season.

No parking. We had to pay to park 3 blocks away and walk to the hotel. Stagnant wet smell everywhere as well as the over whelming scent of old pot and tobacco. When I walked around in the hotel room with just my sock, I had to throw them away. The mattress was sunk in the middle and flipped upside down. No patio furniture/chair. We will NEVER stay here again!

Roaches! The inside of the microwave was disintegrating. Our tub didn’t drain for the first day. Roaches! The ceiling above the bed look like it was going to cave in. Five people and we could only get one or two towels at a time. Roaches! What appeared to be poop on the bathroom walls. I reached out to the hotel, but haven’t heard anything back.

The view was beautiful. But the furniture is well over due for cleaning. Later that evening i noticed we did have any wash cloths, so my wife called the font desk and informed them, we were told the front desk closes at 6. And we would have to come down to the sister hotel down the road and get them our selves. So we had to walk a great deal to get there because parking is very limited, and didn't want to lose our space and end up having to park down the road. Oh and there's no phone in the rooms to call the front office.

Only stayed over night but everything was clean, the price for being right on the beach isn’t bad at all. Being beside Sharkys was convenient the parking did suck though but overall everything was great.

Staff was rude, not enough towels and No wash rags. Ended up buying stuff to mop with and air freshener because the room smelled like pee. But most of all the smoke detector started going off in our room at midnight. Security came and unplugged it from the wall and placed it on the table. Once he left it started going off non stop. He took to long to come back to the room so I took it to them. Asked if we couldn’t get the FD to make sure it’s not carbon monoxide because I had 6 people that will be sleeping and we wanted to wake up in the morning. They refused. So I called them myself.

It’s right on the beach so the view was great. We had a balcony as well and they had 2 chairs out there. It would have been nice to have had a light out there but it worked out for us. All the staff I interacted with were very friendly. It wasn’t the cleanest but it wasn’t the worst I have ever seen. Our deadbolt wouldn’t lock and there was also a big gap at the bottom of the door. It definitely made us nervous. But we rigged it up and we were ok with it. The curtain for the window kept popping off and was super annoying. It has a pool but we didn’t get in. It seemed pretty well kept tho. The one thing I couldn’t stand is the parking lot is shared with Sharkys. Sharkys got busy around 2 until 12. So if you drove somewhere it was pretty impossible to find a parking spot. They do have extra park a block away but it was just inconvenient for us. Then senor’ frogs is on the other side of the hotel. And it was loud until around midnight/1. But you really couldn’t hear it inside the room but on the balcony you could. Overall, I would still recommend and stay here again. It was a great view.

The room wasn't cleaned before we checked in, we found a pair of used swimming shorts under one of the beds. Some sand on the floor as well. My son walked around for 10mins barefoot, and the bottom of his foot was turning black. Definitely could use a good mopping. The TV wasn't working correctly, no channels. The front door wasn't sealed at all. Had a breeze from the outside, could hear every conversation and traffic sounds from inside. The front lobby was closed during check-in and check-out times. Had to walk to the other hotel (Seahaven) just to use the lobby. Beds weren't too bad, very noisy though. Beach view and proximity to the beach we're the only good things about this hotel.

Right on the beach so In regard to proximity, it's excellent but.... There was mold on our light fixtures and the place could use some serious updating.. Very close to Sharky's which was great and the staff was friendly. Parking is terrible so if you find a parking spot try not tomove your car until your stay is over. Overall, the stay wasn't bad..
