The room was spartan. No wardrobe or microwave. Just live out of the suitcase. Limited space in the 2 full bed room. Breakfast was extremely limited. Coffee had no taste and looked like the grounds were used twice. Juice dispenser concentrate was dialed down to less than 50% and out of two flavors twice during our 4 day stay. Hot food was limited to waffles. Instant packet oatmeal, only had ones with sugar. I asked for plain and they didn't buy anymore yet. Note: there is a self serve coffee machine in the check-in lobby that makes fresh ground coffee during business hours. Definitely take advantage of it. The location is excellent to downtown Carmel.

Day before arrival I sent a message to hotel asking for the room on top floor, because I am a very light sleeper, and any noise can keep me awake. Apparently. it was no room available with a king bed, that I made a reservation for. Front desk person gabe us a free upgrade to accommodate my needs. It was very nice of her! Also. It was very clean and bed was comfortable. This hotel is located in couple blocks from Ocean ave. So, it close to the center, but not too crowded.
