Bad Choice for NHRA Weekend

Where to start...we happened to book this room on the same weekend as the NHRA auto show weekend. Made parking the first night tight, but with the hundreds of people that overtook the area Friday and Saturday night, actual hotel patrons could not access the hotel parking, and the crowd that had assembled just overran the whole area. We wore socks in our room that turn black on the bottoms after an hour or two due to the dirty carpeting. Bathtub shower VERY slippery, no hand assist bars - be careful! Whole property needs updating. Breakfast: so-so, powdered eggs and sausage or waffles every morning, no oatmeal. Fitness area was poor, treadmills unusable or non functional, carpeting filthy. Young lady at desk was sincerely apologetic, but thst's where the hospitality ended. Will be back to Kalamazoo, but will search for better accomodations.

It was a living nightmare. Cars burning out in the parking lot and bumping music super late, the pool was interesting, and the chairs in my room were stained. It also smelled funny.

Overall Disappointed

Lobby/breakfast area was clean. Carpeting in my room was sticky through out the room. Desk chairs were covered in unknown stains. Both the carpeting and chairs were in desperate need of shampooing. Attempted to use the pool area with my grand-daughter. Left because the pool walls were dirty. Grab bars leading into the pool were loose and wobbly where they connected to the floor. Paint on the pool deck was peeling and chipping.

They were able to accommodate us at the last minute for a week stay. The hotel is dated but clean and the staff is excellent! Good breakfast in the morning. Definitely would stay again.

Ok for sleepy a night and leaving

The staff we friendly and accommodating . Definitely needs updating. When we got to our room . There was no nob to turn on the shower on . A maintenance man was on the floor within minutes to apply a nob . But i could spit harder than the shower water pressure. Me and my husband didn't bother to call we just laughed about it. The parking lot always had shady people walking through, i think the area around it is not the safest. Definitely stay away from the Dennys acrossed the street. The bed was worn but clean. Location is the best part very closed to everything. Pool needs a major updating. Cracking paint i didn't even go in it was so worn out. Gym was good. Breakfast was good only 1 waffle maker , makes for a long wait time.

Some aspects of the hotel were excellent others not so good. Our room was not cleaned the entire time we were there which was 6 days, and had not been cleaned well before we checked in. There was a hyperdermic needle in our chair ( had the front desk immediately remove the chair) also found someones underwear behind the trash can when I took my own trash out. On the plus side the breakfast was good each day, the front desk crew was excellent, I had two dogs with me ,and unlike another nearby hotel I felt fairly comfortable walking the dogs.

I wouldn’t stay here again if I could afford to stay somewhere else. Comforter was stained. Bathrooms were redone though. Rest of it’s pretty old. But it’s passable if you need somewhere to stay.

It served its purpose which was a cheap place to sleep. A bad storm rolled through and knocked out power to half the town including this property. The doors opened and the water was running, but I think the storm blew out all of the light bulbs that were on during the storm. This was no fault of the property, but I wasn’t offered any refunds or amenities and noone checked up on me.

Hotel -> halfway housing?

I thought I was staying at a hotel. This location seemed to a home for some people down on their luck. There was a lot of updating and maintenance that needs to be done. I was there for a dog show. When I checked in, no word was mentioned about an extra fee. The second day I had pounding on my door and a gruff man stating that I will be charged $200 for having dogs. I felt spied on and accused of doing something wrong when it was their responsibility to address this at check in.
Filth!! Vent laid against the wall all 4 days I was there. Seeing the filth in the air duct was gross!

My room was disgustingly dirty and had old dog treats under the chair and dog hair on the floor. There was also wet spots on the carpet and splashed gross unidentified substance on the bottom of the bed. Absolutely disgusting. And all the front desk offered me was to make a note that I wasn’t the one that made the room dirty. Unexceptionable and disgusting. 0 out of 10 rating!!!!!!! Front desk extremely not helpful as well. This property should be ashamed!
