The staff is great and very helpful. The 2nd floor restaurant has a lot of charm and I can imagine it’s lovely when the weather is nice and they open the terrace. The location is good if you want to be near the theater district. The one thing I’d knock is the size of the queen bed rooms. NYC hotel rooms are always small. These ones are particularly small, leaving nowhere to unpack, hang clothes, eat anything, put anything on a flat surface. It was still worth it for us as we were traveling with 2 teens and needed one of our rooms to have 2 beds (difficult in NYC and London). Their room was somewhat larger but still small. Be prepared to dig things out of your suitcase each morning. Also, unless you have breakfast included just go grab something from a food cart. It’s a HolidayInn Express level set up and hardly worth the $20 or so they charge. Hang out there later for a coffee or drink instead. There are comments about the elevator being slow and breaking. It’s true, but everyone seemed to manage by using the service elevator and crowding in. So…all in all definitely not perfect but okay if you just need a place to sleep with a nice staff in a good location.

The staff was great - very warm! The location is very convenient: Walking distance (if you like to walk) to theaters, amazing restaurants, and the subway. We didn't make it to the rooftop bar, but the restaurant on the second floor was reasonably priced and our dinner was great. The rooms are, of course, quite small. But we were very comfortable, and really liked the decor. My sole complaint is regarding the hotel industry's baffling commitment to showers that allow water to get all over the bathroom floor. As expected, the bathroom itself is small. The shower within the bathroom: small. That's fine! But I had to cower on one side of the stall and keep my movements to a minimum lest water flow down to my elbow and escape outside the shower. Yes, they do provide a floor towel, but it quickly got soaked. Cue the subclinical trauma of stepping out onto a wet towel, failing to sop up all the water on the floor, forgetting the floor is wet and walking in there with socks on, etc. etc. Truly though, if you can get past the wet floor situation - and you'll have to, because it's no different at any other hotel, even many of the really fancy ones - this is a great hotel. We would definitely stay there again!

Amazing from check in to check out. Clean room and nice staff. We got there early in the day prior to check in time and we were able to check in. Rooms are small but it’s NYC! Beautifully decorated. Loved the fact there was a garment steamer in our room! Elevators are kinda small and can be slower at times but no big deal. Great distance to everything! Quick walk to Times Square and Broadway areas or subway access. There is a deli market on the corner for when you just need some room snacks. Probably our NYC go-to from now on!

Check in was smooth, my room was small (which I expected) but it was clean and had everything I needed. It was in walking distance of restaurants and near public transportation so getting around was super easy. I didn't get a chance to eat or try the rooftop area, but I would definitely stay again and give those a try!
