When I walked into the hotel, I could feel the welcoming atmosphere. The staff member was very friendly, and she made check-in a breeze.
The room was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was hot.
The room had standard cable tv.
One of the highlights of this hotel was the hot breakfast. The spread was delicious and more than enough to start the day right. Scrambled eggs, fresh pancakes made from a machine. Coffee and tea are available 24/7.
The hotel also has a nice swimming pool and a hot tub. Also, for those who like to stay active, the fitness room is open 24/7.
Now, on to the things that weren’t quite as perfect. There is a refundable $75 fee, which was not mentioned on the Hotels.com site, and I also had to deal with some extra tax fees that weren’t listed upfront.
The bathroom door of our room was tricky to lock, and the toilet was a bit on the low side.
I had to pull our room door extra hard to get it to lock when leaving. Not a major inconvenience, but worth noting. Additionally, the lamp on the table had a bit of rust on it, which was a little surprising given how otherwise clean and well-kept everything else was.
All things considered, these were just minor inconveniences that didn’t take away from the overall experience. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, clean rooms, and excellent amenities far outweigh these small hiccups. If I ever return to the area, this will definitely be my go-to hotel.
