Amazing! Place was clean and a nice set up (king one bed) My wife really like it better than Motel 6 near Disneyland. Pool was also nice, 4 1/2 feet deep. Only thing that is bad is the parking. Staff should ensure that compact cars are actually parking in the compact parking. There were so many compact cars in the normal parking which sucked when we checked in late past midnight. But the staff had a “secret” parking which worked out well. My wife and I basically did not leave with our car and stay parked. We walked to Disneyland and when we had to go eat we ate at Dennys with that 15% off!

Hate to give away a secret

This hotel is a perfect spot for a quality stay at a great price that is super close to Disney/Adventure parks. It’s exactly 15 minutes walking to the gate of Downtown Disney (just behind the Pixar hotel), which has several shops and restaurants in a corridor that feels like you’re in Disneyland. There is a mini concert venue for people to sit on rolling green carpet should you want to sit and listen to live music. There are speakers throughout this downtown district playing Disney music non-stop so it adds to Disney atmosphere. A couple of restaurants even have Disney characters appear, but it’s pricier to eat there. After a 10-minute walk through Downtown Disney, you are at the front gates between the 2 parks. From there we were able to see about 80 percent of the fireworks show that night. We just stayed overnight so we just spent several fun hours browsing the shops and eating before going back to the hotel. (Earls Sandwich shop was a tremendous value to eat at compared to other dining options).

We did find one bed bug on the chair in the room. We checked the beds sheets and mattresses but could not see anything. We got clean sheets. We where worried if we found one there would be more but luckily that was the only one.

I had a rough time checking in because the staff was not aware that Bobby is Robert, Bill is William, as in Bobby Kennedy Bill Clinton. First let me say my girl friend is Spanish so I’m not prejudice. It would be much easier if they were aware of these things. They said the name was not the same as the reservation name. When I travel to hotels with US born staff, they know this. Anyway, it took some time to check in and it really is a set back.

All in all, it's a no-frills basic motel, but it's a no-frills basic motel done right. Rooms are clean, comfortable, everyone is nice, and it's just a perfect example of getting the basic fundamentals right for a really good price in a nice location right next to the nicest Denny's I have ever gone to.
