It is important to know this is an historic 128 years old property with all the eccentricities and flavor of a time long gone. It has been beautifully preserved and was updated some year ago but it is not a modern hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the linens superb. The water pressure was the best I've felt in years giving a wonderful shower experience. And the towel sheets had me feeling pampered.
We had supper at Floyd's which is conveniently on-site. Two adults shared the fried pimento balls and a sandwich wrap, both delicious and service was terrific. We had breakfast at the beautiful chinoiserie themed Rosemary & Thyme. I had a made-to-order omelet which was absolutely delicious and my coffee cup stayed full by the attention of Floyd, our delightful server.
The Windsor Hotel is a wonderful historic property well worth a visit!

Beautiful old hotel in downtown Americus. Convenient to shops and restaurants. The restored hotel is lovely insid and makes one appreciate the history of this place. The rooms have high ceilings, comfy beds and beautifully updated bathrooms. Staff at Floyd’s were great as was the food. Would definitely return.
