Our stay was good. I thoroughly researched the hotels in the area before booking and decided on RHH due to the amazing reviews but I can’t say I quite agree. Location is good, it’s about a 20 minute walk from the centre and opposite a stunning view of Richmond Park and the Thames. Hotel is very clean.
The main negative is the room, which I didn’t read a lot about in the reviews which is surprising. Despite the stunning views of Richmond Park we were given a back room which just overlooked scaffolding and a flight path, the WiFi wasn’t very strong in the room which meant it kept cutting out but mainly is the design of the bathroom. It’s almost open plan with no real walls to the toilet, only frosted glass with gaps in, which means you can literally see one another do your ‘business’ which is just weird and so unnecessary. The shower is the same, just frosted glass so do think twice if booking with family members. The sink is very shallow so water splashes on the floor, as with the shower, water comes out everywhere so the floor ends up soaked, but this is also where the wardrobe is so you have to walk over wet floor to get your clothes it’s just very poorly designed.
I do think next time I would consider elsewhere just for that point.
