Not sure what was going on in town but our hotel options were pretty limited. This is an older hotel, with rooms that open directly to the outside. It's been updated but could use some more TLC - light switches, for example, were terribly grimy. Some mildew in the showers, worn caulking, etc. Nothing terrible (hence the decent rating) but if you're a stickler for a clean room, this isn't your place. I thought it was good for the price we paid - if I wanted a nicer room I would have had to pay a lot more.

Just the basics

“Filthy, Misleading, and Uninhabitable

Absolutely disgusting. The room was filthy—mold in the shower, a foul odor throughout, and visible grime on surfaces. The place felt completely unsanitary and unsafe. We couldn’t stay the night and had to find another hotel nearby. The online photos are totally misleading and do NOT reflect the actual conditions. This place should be shut down. Avoid at all costs.

Disgusting

Roaches, disgusting rooms. Broken curtains. Smoke damage, even the towel racks were covered in rust. Im a professional maid and there was no way it was cleaned. Everything was so awful we checked out after 7 hours (got there after midnight and left morning following) despite 4 day reservation. hotels.com claimed they called and asked for a refund but i spoke to the office at the hotel and they literally said they didnt dissapprove or approve anything yet hotels.com said no claiming the hotel said no. Awful. Cant believe its rated 8/10. I have pictures of the roaches and damage attached.

Dirty rooms, bad customer service.

First hotel room they gave me had trash and dirty towels all over. They switched rooms and the second room was dirty with black spots all over shower ceiling, dirt all over floor. You could not walk around barefoot without socks or feet turning black. It was not clear that second floor rooms did not have elevator access. When leaving they refused to give me a paper copy of the receipt.

Filthy and Unsafe

I am writing to formally complain about the unacceptable conditions my team experienced during our attempted stay at your hotel. Upon check-in, we found our rooms to be filthy, with visible dirt and unclean surfaces (see attached photos for evidence). Additionally, there was blatant drug activity occurring right outside our rooms, creating an unsafe environment.We immediately notified the front desk about these issues, but the situation was intolerable. For the safety and well-being of my team, we had no choice but to cancel our stay. I have already requested a full refund for this unacceptable experience and expect prompt processing given the severity of the issues encountered.Please address this matter urgently and confirm the status of my refund request. I await your response.

Who was using my room?

This was just weird. When I checked in at 11:30 pm, I was given a key to my room. When I got to the room, I realized someone was already using it. The bed was unmade and clothes were scattered all over the floor and furniture. Fortunately, no one was actually there -- I assume. I was given another room, after the manager checked it out first, but that was not what I needed to be dealing with after almost 24 hours of travel. The other room was okay -- dated, but okay.

Well they had a room we booked for us. Smell so strong of bleach that think my eyes are still burning. Bath room had prints and looked to be a spit mark on. Bathroom floor as well as shower was still dirty. Breakfast was good. For the price I shouldn’t complain. But room service should know that if the room is spotless when I receive it I do leave a $20 sometimes up $50 tip but not today
