Everything about our stay was wonderful. It’s perfectly situated, away from the crowds but still close to the main shopping area and trains. You can also find a mixture of local and touristy restaurants. The staff is very kind and helpful and speak perfect English. I think this is now my favorite hotel in Kyoto.

Fantastic hotel and 2 bed suite was amazing. We wish we’d booked longer. The happy hour was exactly what we needed, too! The free sake tasting and craft beer was so nice. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Mimaru has a great set up and we’ll definitely use it again when we return to Japan.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mimaru. The room was huge for 5 of us. Having a washing machine and dryer was great. 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms was fantastic. The train station was very close and we were central to everything. We would highly recommend Mimaru Suites Kyoto Shiju.

MIMARU SHIJO was the best hotel we stayed at on our 3 weeks trip in Japan. Very convenient area to get around. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by. The two bedroom suite was perfect suite for my family so everyone could have their own space. In suite laundry was fantastic. The staff was extremely helpful and the MIMARU luggage delivery was the best service we experienced out of all hotels we stayed at. I would highly recommend this property to anyone, especially families.
