Breakfast selection was good! Room amenities is good! Coffee machine, coffee selection ( decaffeinated too! ) 4 packs of hot chocolate, alot of biscuits, 2 different type of tea. Oh! And there is a fridge which was very convenient for family with young children ( fresh milk storage) What I really want to highlight is the service! My son was actually sick ( vomited ) and the hotel staff was very understanding and did not make me feel an inch of uncomfortable about it! Super understanding, super helpful!

We had a very nice stay at the hotel. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the pool was always clean and well maintained. The garden is beautiful, and the peacocks were a lovely treat. The staff were super helpful and attentive throughout our stay. You definitely get good value for the money paid. Breakfast was okay – not the best – but we understand it is focused on a traditional English breakfast. It would be nice to have a vegetarian sausage option and boiled eggs as well. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Room: - The standard double room they gave us was not large enough to open a suitcase in. - The double bed was considerably smaller than a normal double bed. - We had to turn off the heating because it was incredibly loud and even after turning it off the heater made a clicking sound which made it very difficult to sleep. Staff: - The staff were all courteous and trying their best so I want to make it clear that any criticisms here are aimed at those doing the recruitment, setting wages and providing the training. - We had to quietly and politely request a change of room 3 times before it was eventually accepted. - Maybe I’m being cynical but this felt like a policy rather than a choice by the very nice receptionist. He seemed like he was visibly struggling to deny the request. - A member of staff spat on the floor as they approached the front door, having not seen me. - The poor bar staff were very overworked and undertrained. They shouldn’t have the responsibility of making cocktails that cost £14.50 if they’re not trained well enough to make them to the standard that justifies the cost. My old fashioned had sugar residue at the bottom and not enough ice when it was presented. This is such a minor gripe I feel stupid writing it but if I was running a hotel I’d want to know what to improve. - if it was £9 I wouldn’t care but if you charge a premium price it has to be made better. Tip: close the pool at 9.30, pay the cleaner til 10 to avoid the awkwardness.

Lovely hotel, great with the peacocks walking around the grounds! Bit disappointed with attempting to eat in the restaurant though, was told initially fully booked, then that we might be able to get a table at either 8 or 9 as another couple had double booked and weren’t sure when they were arriving (must be good customers!). Then when we decided to go for room service as my partner wasn’t feeling up to going down for dinner I got hanged up on initially then told someone would call be back - they didn’t so I ended up ordering burgers from JustEat - not what I was expecting with such a highly rated hotel. Probably won’t return.

Wonderful! The rooms were fantastic and felt new and fresh. The pool was amazing for our daughter and I loved the sauna. Everything was super clean and staff so friendly And helpful. The peacocks were also great. Will be back!
