Pool closed for the weekend, no prior notice of this. Booked through hotels.com so had to go through them to try cancel. I was on hold for about 30 minutes to discuss with them to cancel last minute. We were traveling with a 6 year old for state wrestling. We chose this hotel because of the pool and slide. Nice location by the Sanford center. Hotel staff very nice, understanding and accommodating and gave me the number to call. Did not make it to a room but lobby appeared run down not clean and dated with half full baby bottle in the corner and a nipple to another baby bottle on the floor. An old sectional couch is the lobby furniture but it is disassembled for 2 couches and the middle piece off to the side- looked tacky. Law enforcement was there dealing with a domestic issue when we arrived and another guest came down with issues of backed up toilet.

The pool was closed for maintenance, the front desk clerk wasn’t even in a uniform or staff shirt, she looked like she rolled out of bed with a zip up smiley hoodie, when asked for a receipt she said she couldn’t print one. She cussed and slammed the computer key board the whole time. She dropped the f-bomb numerous times while at the desk. My fiancé went to his room (there was no remote for the tv and it stunk of cigarette smoke). While in there the desk person came into his room with her own key card Without permission! My fiancé asked for a refund and left. Worst customer service and experience ever!
