Most important to me is cleanliness. And the room and the property were very clean. The staff was professional and friendly. Next thing that is important is location and convenience. This hotel rates very high on both of these. The "free" breakfast buffet was good quality, with a decent variety. The coffee wasn't great. Okay, now to the not-so-great: The mattress wasn't very comfortable. It wasn't uncomfortable as in lumpy or hard, but it wasn't great. The pillows were a lumpy mess. There were two feather pillows the rest were broken-down foam. We probably could have asked for some different ones. But they weren't bad enough to bother with. Finally, the parking situation. As others mentioned, you can only valet park, which was a small inconvenience when waiting. But it was super expensive. when doing price compare, factor in the $40 a day for parking. When you add in the resort fee, that's almost another $100 a day on the price! However, it's Waikiki and that's the way of it. Most properties in Waikiki are older and this one is showing its age too. We didn't spend much time in our room, so I didn't care that the interior felt a little dated.
So, in the end, we had such a fantastic time, it was worth every penny! I would stay here again.
