The air conditioning needed attention as soon as I got into the room. The staff was great with helping to remedy the situation while I was gone. The room although pretty, is very impractical. The lights aren't timed properly in the bathroom. If you're in the shower for any longer than 5 minutes, the lights go out, and you're stuck in blackness if the door is closed. I almost fell, as I have balance issues, and being soaking wet trying to find the lights. All the overhead lights in the room are like this, and it's ridiculous how short the timer is. There is also no storage (one shallow drawer?) and no closet. My 24 inch suitcase did not fit in the alloted open cabinet space. I had to turn it sideways. to look through your clothes, you have to carry everything from the open cabinet, down the hall, to the bed. Then put everything back. It's extremely inconvenient. Even having a bench in the hall would have helped. Of the three elevators, only 1 was usually working. For 16 floors. the 2nd was usually used for house keeping, (although they were very accommodating in letting guests use them when it was crowded) and the 3rd was out of order my whole stay. There is only ONE ice maker for the entire 16 floors on the 2nd floor. That's it. And no buckets. You have to bring your own glass. What made my stay decent was the staff. Every one of them helped with any issues, were extremely kind and friendly, and just made me walk out of the hotel feeling better about my stay.
