The hotel was a boutique hotel with beautiful surroundings. We had a lovely one-night stay. The lady staff at the front desk was very helpful and lovely. The lunch was good, and they accommodated our diet restrictions at the restaurant. The breakfast was not included, so we paid extra for it with limited options. The lady at the restaurant was very nice, She was able to get us cooked eggs and coffee in the morning. The hotel should offer more breakfast options for the guests for the cost we paid. The Uber driver had trouble finding the hotel location because the address was not correctly displayed. This needs to be corrected by the hotel.

Okay stay, wouldn’t recommend it

The property grounds are pretty and quaint for those looking to stay in a lush area in Sintra. Our room was just okay. There was no closet nor desk which I suppose you can’t always expect at boutique hotels. However, there was an awful musky smell in our bathroom that got more potent every day of our stay. The hotel’s Glade plug-ins couldn’t mask it and opening the window didn’t help either. The window does not have a screen so bugs will fly in when it’s open. The hotel rooms are not secure at all. They have a weird door code system where you know what the code is to get into each room based off your own. They need to have a more secure system. One bonus of this hotel is its proximity to Quinta de Regaleira. The medieval bar next door is fun. You’re about a 15 minute walk into town which isn’t too bad if you’re okay with hills.

The building and grounds are as beautiful as they appear in the pictures. The location is next to one of the many palaces Sintra has to offer and it’s a quick walk into the historic town center. I cannot say enough about how lovely and accommodating the staff members are at this place. They went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed.

This is a charming hotel converted from a prior estate on national park grounds. The staff are extremely friendly and frequently provided assistance when needed. Wild peacocks stroll the grounds each morning. The rates are very reasonable given the quality of the hotel.

History and Charm

Want to feel like a queen in your own palace? This historic property had all the modern luxury and the old world history. Beautiful gardens, and an awesome Medieval bar next door, where many locals and tourists from all over the area congregated. Check in was very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent.

Quinta dos Lobos is a really nice old converted estate. There are nice grounds surrounding the estate that are available to guests. The rooms are tastefully decorated but leave a bit to be desired in terms of appointments, as there are no TVs or, more importantly, clothing irons/steamers in the room. On an odd note, the staff were oddly fixated on whether my room rate included breakfast (it did), and I had to show them my Expedia reservation at both check-in and check-out to not get charged 9€ (in a country where an espresso and a pastry go for under 3€) each for a very mediocre breakfast. Aside from that, staff were friendly and accommodating. A couple notes about the area - the hotel is near one of the key palace attractions, but is a 15-20 minute walk from the main tourist area. There is a medieval pub next door with live music that gets LOUD on the weekends.

Nice minus the mosquitos.

The property and room were nice and comfortable, and the staff was accommodating. There is no air conditioning so we had to sleep with the windows open since it was 70-80f during the day. The windows do not have screens so my partner and I woke up with 10-20 new mosquito bites daily over our 3-night stay. The shower door has gaps in it and leaked daily, knowing this house-keeping should come swap towels daily so guest do not have to hang them out the window to dry.
