Loved staying in this hotel as a solo traveller . really comfy bed, in a room that felt spacious and even had views of the empire state building from my room. Fantastic location in a very walkable city, with friendly staff.

The location was great for a first trip to New York. Close to a lot of things and the room was fairly clean. The only thing that could use some work was you have to sit on the toilet at a 45 degree angle.

I was turned off by the unprofessional appearance of the front desk staff. One receptionist was dressed far too casually, while the other had an untucked shirt and sagging pants. First impressions matter, especially in hospitality, and the staff should look neat and presentable when welcoming guests.

HVAC did not work, toilet ran constantly so I turned it off at the wall; bed was very comfortable, but there is no desk in any of the rooms so not a good location for business travelers.

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, long term maintenance could be better. Toilet needed to be flushed multiple times, drain wouldn't stay open, chips in furniture + decor, hardware missing from lamps, etc. Faint cigarette and Fabuloso scent in carpet.

The hotel was clean but is a very small hotel. The location was good because of walking distances to the subway, next to the Empire State building and Korean town. The reasons why this hotel did not get 5 stars are there is no room service so you can't order food (the resort fee made no sense as an additional charge on top of nightly stay). Also, there is no phone in the room to call the lobby or housekeeping so you would have to manually go to the front desk.
