Key location! friendly, pleasant service.
Tim at the front desk was so sweet and extremely helpful. Tim has some of the best guest service I've come across in a long time.
Heads up - parking is $40/per night.
We stayed in the nicer 1 bedroom loft rooms, they were very muggy and uncomfortable, as far as air qaulity. It was hard to sleep at night being so hot. They need central air in those rooms, or at least fans. If you opened a window or balcony door, it helped, but then you also have to worry about the bugs & seagulls coming in because there's no screens. Other than that, those rooms are nice. I was disappointed to learn there's no TV in the loft bedroom. I got sick for some of our trip & needed to spend a day in bed, having no TV wasn't fun during my bed ridden day.
A lot of restaurants and shops nearby this location, it's right near the water, it was great for walking around. We took some family bike rides (which is impossible on Thames st. During the day). There's shops in the hotel on the bottom floor past the lobby door, the hours of operation for everything are a little wonky and unusual. Overall great stay for our family besides sweating non-stop in those nice rooms.
Highly recommend 'The red parrot' restaurant across the street to eat at, a ton of menu options, all delicious! As well as 5star service.
