Cute but noisy.

Tucked in off the roadway, it was a cute little place. Noisy still, not sure what was making noise all night upstairs. Beds were short, I’m 5’11” and my feet hung off the bed with my head against the headboard.

Our room smelled so badly that we had to go to the grocery store for room deodorizer, the carpet was stiff like it had been shampooed and not cleaned correctly, there were cobwebs and dust on the baseboards. there was nearly no parking and when we checked in we had to go to a secondary location to do so, and checked ourselves out via phone call.

Functional but gross room

The beds functioned as soft, horizontal surfaces on which we could sleep. The carpet was old and pretty gross, the sink was broken and there was an old lime someone left on the window sill. We didn't even bother using the shower because nobody wanted to take their socks off while inside the room.

Gave our room away so when we arrived at 9 pm we had no where to stay. They wanted to book us a room at the local hostel which I hear has bed bugs and is dirty. Make sure you arrive early or you may not have a room.

Very cute rustic hotel, was clean and quaint. Had a good sized mini fridge , microwave. Could sit outside your room in the am -bench outside rooms or go downstairs. Surrounded by trees, a nice getaway.

Goldmine is clean, rustic, and charming. Check-in was quick and easy. Room and bathroom were clean, water was hot and plentiful, fridge and microwave functioned properly, TV and internet were fast and glitch-free. The surrounding area was quiet and shopping dining was within walking distance. I recommend.

The cabin we lived in was very clean and well maintained. The property manager Sunmy was very courteous and tried to accommodate our requests. The property is surrounded by pine trees that gives a very quite and natural feel. We will certainly stay here again.

Horrible check in experience. Was told room was ready, went to hotel. No one there to check us in. Was told will be there in 15 mins never showed. Had to pick up keys from a different hotel. 5 teenagers behind lobby counter. Mildew banana side of bed. Sheets not washed.

The property was very cute & exceeded expectations (from reviewing the reviews). I booked the room last minute for my family and myself after deciding to stay in Big Bear overnight. The front staff was very welcoming & the room was very clean and cute. And to my pleasant surprise, there was a smart TV! I’m a flight attendant, so it’s definitely the small things for me. My only “complaint” is the temperature and the water pressure. I’m not sure if the a/c was just for show or it didn’t work but it was quite warm throughout the night. The water pressure was very low and not much water came out, but we definitely managed! Oh and there was a light out in the bathroom, kind of scared my kid but, again, we managed. Overall I would definitely stay here again, and for a longer time so we could use the fireplace (:

Nightmare

Where do I start? I did a one night stay with my family here. The front desk guy was not that friendly. We got the family villa, 2 bedroom and a queen pull out couch. Once you walk in you notice they added a wall, on the otherside of the wall was the front desk. Pull out bed was broken, it was snapped in half. No Access to the backyard. Bathroom was dirty The second bedroom does not have a door and all night you here scratching coming from the walls and roof. Around 3am we noticed there were birds chirping inside of the roof. Not sure what the scrapping sounds were from. The other bedroom had some weird hidden slide door that was locked from the outside. (Creepy) There was a lot of weird creep little doors. One of the people at the front desk allowed us to have late check out, while outside on check out day I was approached by a lady asking what I was doing..asking why i wasnt xhexked out. I had no idea who she was..she didnt say good morning or say who she was so I assumed she worked at the front desk. I told her we have let check out she pretended to know after she approached me asking why I was checked out. Pay attention to the reviews there are just certain places that are not worth staying for a little cheaper price. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

Overall, my trip was wonderful. Great service, clean and comfortable. The one thing there is no air conditioning. They do provide a fan which worked well. I would have liked to open the window however there was no screen and the mosquitos were terrible. Would definitely return.

Covers the basics well

Last minute booking, and I wasn't expecting anything grand, but I liked the place. Quiet, clean, and the bed was comfortable. I'm a pretty simple guy, so it worked well for my needs. The price was excellent, and for people that don't plan to spend a lot of time in their room, this would be the one to choose. It's Big Bear, who hangs inside?
