We drove from 10.00am to 5.00pm when we arrived they told us we had no booking and said they were all booked out so we would have to find somewhere else to stay if we could find any as they said Cooktown was all booked out they offered no sugestion on what we could do . They just left us to our own devices

Had a lot of trouble booking in. Would not accept wotif booking and room was not available so had to pay an extra $30 to get a room.whuch did not have the extra bed which he said it had. The actual kitchen facilities in the room was excellent and it was very clean and tidy but it was exensive and i would never book their again with a booking agent.

Super nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Wir habe bei unserer Ankunft gleich ein paar Tips fürs Sightseeing bekommen. Das Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich, jedoch, wie bei den meisten Motels, mit ein bisschen Sanierungsstaus. Leider war der Pool bei unserem Aufenthalt wegen Renovierungsarbeiten gesperrt. Dies war aber auch hier bei Hotels.com benannt, was ich leider übersehen hatte.

It's certainly a budget motel but the caretakers are lovely people. No toilet in the room I had so it was a communal amenities block which wasn't a problem. The pool looked really great but I didn't have a dip in it. The camp kitchen was the winner for me.

The best thing about this property is the people. Everyone I met was helpful, and the proprietor went out of her way to meet my needs. The property is undergoing some renovation following floods, but was able to provide a good quality bed, and better extras than I got in city properties.

Over all the property was good. The bed I slept in was hard and you could feel the springs. When I woke I had a sore back and pressure points specially my hips.
