Clean Beds, Unwanted Guests

3 out of 5 stars I stayed 5 nights at the 1915 Beach Club in Daytona Beach, and while there were some positives, there were also a few issues that made the experience less than ideal. The beds were clean and very comfortable, which was a plus, and the location is great for beach access and exploring the area. However, the rooms themselves are definitely in need of some updating. The furniture and fixtures felt a bit dated, especially in the kitchen and bathroom areas. Before booking, I had read reviews mentioning roach sightings, so I called ahead to ask about it. Antonio was polite and reassured me that they had recently hired a pest control company and treated the rooms. That gave me some confidence in booking. Unfortunately, I still encountered several baby roaches around the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and near the shower curtain during my stay. I decided not to make a big deal out of it since nearby hotels were fully booked and I didn't want the hassle of moving. However, on the fourth day, I returned from an outing to find a dead, adult-sized roach on the bathroom floor near the sink. That was pretty unsettling and really confirmed that the issue hasn’t been fully addressed. I didn’t report it at the time simply because I didn’t want the extra stress during my trip, but it’s something the management definitely needs to stay on top of. In summary, the hotel has potential and a few good qualities, but the pest issue and outdated rooms make it hard to fully recommen

Won't be staying here again. When I received the confirmation email, it stated " check in was 3pm & check out was 11am. The day of check in I received an email that stated ," check in was 4 pm & check out was 10am." It didn't make sense to me to be charged by the day when I couldn't even get into the room until 4pm. I paid $25 to get into the room early. I like to walk barefoot, but my feet were black after walking around the room. I bought cleaning supplies to clean the floor. The rest of the place was clean, but dated. It was windy for a few days and sand blew in under the door. The shower was nice and hot and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of linens.

Served a purpose but minimally

I was super excited to stay here after reading the reviews and seeing the pictures of both the rooms and the view/location to the beach. Most of all the cost! But I was very disappointed when I arrived in person. Online it states the check in is 3pm but I was texted that the time is 4pm. I had to pay extra just to get in 1.5 hours before my stated online time. The room was way smaller than the pictures depicted. The absolute worst was that there wasn't even a dresser to put our clothes in. Antonio was accommodating but this was out of his control, I suppose. He also allowed us a 1 hour late check out, which was stated in the reservations online but I still appreciated. It states that the room could sleep 4 but I doubt that due to the size of the room and no dresser. Overall, it did the trick but was a let down. My daughters and I came to honor the 2 year anniversary of their mom/my wife passing , where we got married 17 years ago. It sufficed.

Property needs a lot of work. Room was dirty it looks like the carpet had been stains on it and was dirty. The bed itself with a very small room say 200 square feet, had a king bed in it, that wasn't too bad except well the frame was all busted LOL. I kicked my foot on the one I walked in and hurt my foot because the frame was completely busted and laying out. Very dangerous. I did show the owner Chris But that's nothing in comparison to New Year's Eve night at 3:00 in the morning when one of those rooms about the same size as mine was full of people under the age of 18 yelling screaming arguing. Drinking of course. Didn't start till 3:00 a.m. at 4:30 I asked them to please quiet down. At 5:50 I asked them again they threaten me and my dog. At 6:30 I finally called the police. Here's the issue how do you rent a room to underage people and let them come and drink on New Year's Eve and have nobody around to police the hotel? We all spent the same money yet it seems like when I did ask they laughed at me like I was the problem. I'm talking about the management. They came to me later and apologize but the point is in a state like Florida if I was a guy that owned a gun and I had five young black kids approached me and threatened me and my dog.... Well somebody might have died that night. Daytona police didn't show up nor did the owner. Until 6:50 a.m. when it was light out and of course most of the people had left. Wonderful experience... Never did see the refund they promised

Everything is in the what i didnt like. The website is false advertisement. It looked nothing like the pictures. I only was there for an hour and left. I wanted my money back but was told no. I am disgusted with this place. I am still debating on getting a lawyer even if it costs more than what i paid for the room just so they cant do this to other people. They want to charge extra if the guest leaves a mess but we cant get out money back if we are not satisfied and im not talking about over little things. This was many many things. I have pictures and a video. Never again will i trust expedia or any motel in that area.

That was just one picture from behind the one bed the other pictures and video are on my daughter's phone.

Overall, a great hotel, very spacious and comfortable. The only thing I recommend to bring is more towels, and maybe some extra pillows and blankets.the first thing I noticed when I got there was the smell of the room it smelt like a bathroom so after I sprayed some Febreze, it smelt a lot better.

I did not see any staff while I was there. I was the only one who made my bed and no-one changed my towels. After 2 nights without hot water I called and finally got hot water. It was advertised as a suite. It was simply a motel room. It as clean and neat. I had difficulty with the door lock and had to put the code in numerous times to get the door open. It was clean but for the money I would look around before I would make another reservation.

Roach infestation and no staff on site

The room total was charged before I even arrived. I did not get any premarital emails as stated in the description. There is knot a front desk or staff on site. This was my worst hotel experience in more than 20 years. The photos and description are VERY misleading and outdated! There were roaches and maybe bedbugs, praying it wasn’t those. The hotel “could not” access my room while I was gone to spray for roaches and could not even supply roach spray, colors wipes or cleaning supplies for me to take care of it myself. I never would have stayed if it had not been a sold out weekend at every other hotel in the area. I barely slept for 3 nights with the lights on, used half a can of roach spray that I bought and had to clean the toilet and shower before I could use it. The food I bought on day 1 got thrown away bc the roaches were in the kitchen. They appear to have an infestation and should not be renting the rooms. I was in room 7 that DOES NOT have a door lock key pad, it has obviously been there and removed since. The door is warped and doesn’t seal and the locks were minimal, the dead bolt almost wouldn’t lock at all. The linens are worn and when I asked for clean towels they only replaced the ones used, there was a roach in one of the towels. Toilet didnt flush. I left 2 days early, I couldn’t stand it any longer. The person that I communicated with, only by text, kept telling me the “owner” would give me a refund, I haven’t seen that and have not reimbursed for supplies

Good for the price

Our stay was good for the price. Plumbing was an issue for a brief 15 mins. Shower didn't stay hot, had to keep moving the handle to keep warm. Parking is limited. Room was definitely old and remodeled. But overall this place served our purpose.

By all accounts of the photos posted, this was a great option for us. Upon arrival-there were no parking spots available. The floors were sticky. Paper lined the windows under curtains so you could not open them or see daylight. Impossible to regulate water temp in shower so you were getting scalded or an ice bath no in between. Were only given 3 towels for 4 people for 2 nights. Hair left all over in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable and AC works well. Sinks and outsides of cupboards and fridge look like they have never been cleaned. Stain on the linen and it smelled of urine in spots and musty like it was left in a washer too long. No working fan in bathroom which resulted in rusted fixtures due to humidity throughout the place.

It was very clean and well presented. the bed and pillow was super comfy. The staff was excellent. What could be improved, to be rated A 5 instead of a 4, would be small things, such as a broken handle on the refrigerator, and the light in the bathroom had dirt accumulated in the lens. However, we definitely will stay again. Positives definitely outweigh the negatives. Thank you for a great stay

Room was very nice but the bathroom door did not close all the way. There were no shelves in the shower to put soaps/shampoos. We stayed for 6 nights and never had our room cleaned. However, it was a very nice hotel otherwise. Air conditioning worked very well in the hot weather, and I loved having a smart TV. Wifi was spotty at times, but usually started working again pretty quickly. Overall, a pretty nice, pet friendly hotel right across the street from the beach.

Beach Club is beautiful!

I am torn on my evaluation of Beach Club. The price was (supposedly) right. But then there was a fee that made the price more than the cost of one night. But we really wanted to stay there, so we paid the price. Then there was an email wanting me to put my credit card number on a Google form so that they could charge me a security deposit. I was not comfortable providing my credit card number in a Google form, but I contacted Hotels.com and they said it was ok to do, so I did it. The Beach Club ended up not charging the security deposit, so that was great. The room was GORGEOUS! We loved it so much! It had a great AC unit, all of the furnishings were top notch and clean and beautiful. The 1915 Beach Club is a 2-minute walk to a WONDERFUL diner named Steve's Famous Diner. We ate EVERY MEAL there!!! So, once we parked at 1915 Beach Club, we never got in our car again--that was awesome! The actual beach is just across the street and to the right. And there's a great pedestrian crossing with flashing lights so you are very safe crossing the street. The beach was not crowded at all. It was so lovely! Our only issues were how much we ended up paying when we thought we were getting a REAL deal and that we were never positive our room was locked. One of us would stand outside and make sure, but then wen they came in, we became unsure again. All in all, a great weekend, and we would visit again!
