Would recommend it for the budget-conscious traveler. This was by far the least expensive option in Anchorage when we visited in May 2026. It is no frills, but was just what we needed. We reserved two nights and extended it twice to make it a five-night stay. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The shower connection in our room was a little makeshift, but served the purpose. The only real negatives I would offer is that if you are the street side of the building there is a bit of traffic noise, the door lock could have been more secure, and the weather stripping around the door should be updated to prevent draft (not a problem in May, but would be in the winter in Anchorage). Overall, for the price, can not complain.

I love the area this hotel is in and it's surprisingly nice compared to what I was expecting with the low nightly rate. The shower has great water pressure and gets good and hot; I love that in a hotel. Parking is great and you can walk to multiple shopping and dining establishments.

Best advice for planning purposes is to not go there at all. The facility and in particular, my room, were in such poor shape that I left after the first night of what was supposed to be a 6 night stay. • Staff: o Receptionist – friendly. o Security – friendly but get up out of your seat and come and speak with me versus hanging out up on the landing with your head down, hoodie up and face in your phone. o The manager/owner was clueless, trying to defend why the room was perfectly fine. Clueless • Facility: o My room generally presented as dirty and uncared for. o My room was not clean – so much so that I had papers adhering to the glass desk due to some sticky substance that appeared to have been spilled and not cleaned up. o Both chairs in my room had stains on the seat portion. o Dirty and broken window blinds. o General appearance of the room was bad. o The ceiling fixture had a light bulb that appeared to be out. o Two of the five bedroom dresser drawers were missing hardware; one of the drawers appeared broken. o The bed: Whoever made it needs training. o The concept of shared bathroom facilities was not mentioned in the room description when I made the reservation. o Bathroom shower is filthy (hair). o Mice. o I chose the Qupuqiaq Inn for its high rating; I am not sure how they achieved said rating.
