Hotels . Com listed Sonesta having two beds, which is why I booked this hotel. Upon arrival and check in, once we got to the room, there was only one bed for my family. I went back to the front desk and asked them about our room. The clerk told me that all their rooms only have one bed and that Expedia and third party bookings have them listed wrong . He asked if we wanted a cot, which is said okay. However, we left the hotel. There was not enough beds. Hotels. Com was contacted immediately and they called the hotel. The clerk told them I accepted an upgraded room , which I did not . I told the agent online that a cot was not considered an upgraded room . We left the hotel and had to find another hotel at 9:00 at night . We didn't stay at all. Sonesta refused to refund my stay. I know it was somehow a mix up on hotels.com with the bedding issue but I was aggravated that we were charged for a room that we didn't use and couldn't accommodate my family . My suggestion is for the third party booking sites to update the hotel so other families who think they are getting two beds don't show up at night and have no where for everyone to sleep.
